If you are passionate about cloud computing, distributed systems, and building high-quality software, this is an exciting opportunity to make a big impact.Key job responsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain critical components of the EC2 Image Builder serviceSolve complex engineering challenges to improve system reliability and performanceDeliver new features and enhancements that improve the customer experienceWork closely with the team to understand requirements and architect scalable solutionsWrite high-quality, maintainable code following best practices and coding standardsParticipate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deliveryA day in the lifeA day in the life of a Software Engineer II may involve:Collaborating with product managers and other engineers to understand customer requirements and design scalable, reliable solutionsWriting high-quality, maintainable code to implement new features and enhancements to serviceParticipating in code reviews to ensure best practices are followed and the codebase remains clean and well-structuredTroubleshooting and resolving complex issues that impact the reliability and performance of the serviceCollaborating cross-functionally with other teams and services to ensure seamless integrationAbout the teamThe EC2 Image Builder team is responsible for building and maintaining the critical infrastructure that powers the creation and management of Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) at scale.
