FUNCTIONAL ANALYST WITH SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SKILLSFUNCTIONAL ANALYST WITH SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SKILLS Area Description: Telefonica Global Solutions (TGS) manages the global business units for Multinationals, Wholesale and Roaming. TGS specializes in delivering a comprehensive range of integrated fixed, mobile, and IT services to some of the world's leading multinationals and corporations. It also provides global telecommunication services for fixed and mobile carriers, ISPs, and content providers. As part of TGS, the Service Digitalization area is responsible for implementing new services and products, as well as evolving existing ones within the TGS portfolio.
Mission & Vision: Lead E2E Product & Service Development, maximizing customer satisfaction and cost efficiency through end-to-end service evaluation and operations improvement plans.
Main Duties & Responsibilities: You will be the functional analyst and responsible for the technical development of the products or services under your scope. You must ensure that the necessary technical specifications are met to cover commercial and operational requirements. Additionally, you will actively participate in the development.
In general, your functions will be:
Requirements AnalysisDesign and DocumentationCode Development and System ConfigurationUnit TestingIntegration TestingInstallation Review in Different Environment StagesUAT TestingLevel 3 Support / Corrective ActionsTraining and Support for Operational GroupsPlan, control and follow-up of developments requested by internal/external Clients as well as lifecycle management.Team engagement with other colleagues in B2B Customer Service & Operations (Global Network & Platforms, IT, Global Architecture Transformation & Customer Experience) and Multinational Business Unit (Product Marketing, Presales/Sales…)End-to-end Quality management of the Service development lifecycle.Technical Skills: Understanding of system design principlesDevelopment and Programming skills:Java programming language: java/J2EE, Java SE, Java EE, Javascript, etc.Other programming languages: Python, other scripting languages will be valued.Basic Integration competence with: Web Services, Rest API, XSD, XSLT, XML, JSONKnowledge on AWS Ecosystem, specifically S3, Spark, Glue, and Lambda programmingDatabase development skills, specifically SQL languageData structures and algorithms.Framework and Methodology:Familiarity with version control systems, specifically GIT & GITHUBAgile Methodologies: Experience working in agile environments (SCRUM, Kanban) and in the use of tools such as JIRAAPI Development: Familiar with creating and consuming RESTful and/or SOAP APIsTesting and Debugging: Ability to perform unit testing, integration testing, and code debuggingSecurity: Basic knowledge of security practices in software developmentDevelopment tools: Familiar with development tools like Visual Studio, Eclipse, etc.Documentation: skills to clearly document and communicate technical requirements and solutions.Knowledge in software deployment, release management, software packaging, testing & integration.Knowledge on the following topics is desirable:Connectivity & Security services: MPLS, SD-WAN, SDN/NFV, vFW, vRouter…Mobile & Unified Comms services: MSFT Teams, Zoom, Cisco UCC Suite, and others.Voice services: Transit, Termination, and VoIP managed services.Telecoms and IT Services Knowledge, with special focus on Voice, Cloud UCC, IoT, Mobile, and Messaging services.Specific Skills Required: Ability to work in a teamAbility to react and make decisions in complex situationsFlexibility and responsibility to meet objectivesAbility to negotiate with different areasSkill in managing user relationshipsTolerance to changeExperience: 1 - 5 years over development frameworksEducation: (Desirable) degree in Telecommunications or Computing and other IT degrees.Languages: #SomosDiversos
