The roleWe are seeking a dynamic Scientific Project Manager to join our Strategy and Funding (SaF) team. This role involves managing two externally funded projects:IMPaCT T2D: A Spanish multi-centre project funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII), focusing on studying the genomes of patients with Type 2 Diabetes using advanced sequencing technologies and AI to enhance precision medicine (Coordinator: Jorge Ferrer).COST Action CorEuStem: A European network aiming to harmonize stem cell research and tissue engineering protocols and establish a reference point for stakeholders in stem cell biology and associated technologies (Coordinator: Laura Batlle).The successful candidate will ensure the effective management and implementation of both projects, collaborating closely with project coordinators, consortium partners, the SaF team, technology transfer, financial management, and communication.Job duties include:Manage projects to ensure compliance with ISCIII and COST regulations and deadlines.Foster communication and collaboration among project partners and relevant initiatives.Ensure timely and high-quality completion of reports, deliverables, and milestones.Coordinate and contribute to the writing of technical and financial reports, and other project documentation.Oversee transversal aspects such as open science, ethics, and innovation.Organize project events, training, meetings, and workshops.Advise partners on scientific, administrative, and horizontal issues, including ethical, legal, and social aspects.Manage project websites and social media for disseminating results to various audiences.Contribute to raising additional funds and preparing new grant applications.Assist with transversal tasks within the SaF team.About the teamThe SaF office enhances the CRG's international and interdisciplinary scope, creating opportunities for scientific collaborations. The team provides strategic advice, supports the Director, and coordinates institutional projects and partnerships.Whom would we like to hire?Professional experienceMust Have:Research experience in an international setting.Proven project management skills and experience managing collaborations.Experience with European or international grants, and organizing scientific events.Background in innovation management, research valorization, or business development.Education and trainingPhD degree in life sciences or related fields is desirable.Previous knowledge of COST Action projects would be beneficial.LanguagesProficient in spoken and written Spanish and English. Knowledge of Catalan is advantageous.Technical skillsExpertise in project management and scientific grant writing. Strong IT skills (Excel, online communication tools, CMS, etc.).Transversal CompetencesExcellent writing and communication skills. Proactive, flexible, and problem-solving mindset. Team player with the ability to work independently.
