This position requires a deep understanding of the local regulations that govern us, as well as payment industry regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance standards are met.
As we start our expansion into Europe, we are looking for someone as ambitious as we are to join our Milan office to focus on the Italian market.What you will do...Conduct comprehensive KYC checks on new and existing customers, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines, and internal policiesReview customer documentation, including merchant applications, financial statements, legal agreements, and beneficial ownership informationEvaluate the adequacy and accuracy of customer-provided information and perform risk assessments based on established criteriaInvestigate and resolve any red flags, inconsistencies, or suspicious activities identified during the customer due diligence processCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as Underwriting, Compliance, Legal and Risk, to obtain additional information or clarify discrepanciesStay updated on evolving local and payment industry regulations, card scheme rules, and best practices to ensure compliance with applicable standardsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer due diligence activities, including audit trails, risk assessments, and supporting documentationAssist in the development and enhancement of KYC policies, procedures, and tools specific to the payments industry to improve efficiency and effectivenessProvide training and support to other team members on KYC processes, industry requirements, and emerging trendsReport any potential cases of money laundering, fraud, or suspicious activities to the Financial Crime Compliance TeamWhat you will bring...Experience working in a KYC, AML, or compliance-related role within the payments industry or financial services sectorProficiency in using KYC software, inclusive of eKYC tools and screening systemsExcellent analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to identify risks, analyse complex information, and make informed decisionsStrong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectivelyA team player with great people skills and a good sense of humour who can effectively and efficiently collaborate, building relationships with colleagues throughout the business, and with a pragmatic and commercial approachFluency in English and ItalianDojo from the get-goFirst launch was back in 2009.
