The role provides an opportunity and challenge to work in a high transaction, highly available and complex environment. The Manager, Cloud Engineering is responsible for leading a team of Engineers, with varying technical levels, to solve complex problems and deliver robust solutions while meeting tight deadlines. The Manager collaborates with senior management and operates with mínimal supervision to implement the solutions, managing activities of engineers. The Manager, Cloud Engineering will possess a broad knowledge within the field with demonstrated leadership skills and is responsible for hiring, terminating, and performance management. This position is eligible for full-time home-based remote work.What would I be doing?Manage, support and lead to completion multiple simultaneous projects at a time.Lead, manage and continuously grow a cohesive and highly talented team of engineers.Design, plan and implement AWS solutions for high-traffic production environment ensuring high uptime.Develop and strictly enforce operational policies, procedures controls and standards.Maintain top quality technical skills in a broad range of IT topics and products/tools etc.What key skills and experience do I need?Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline or equivalent practical experience.6+ years of progressive IT experience in high-traffic production environment.4+ years of hands-on experience working in AWS in production setting.2+ years of experience managing high performance engineering teams.AWS, Terraform, VSCode, GitHub, IIS, CI/CD Pipeline tools.Highly skilled and proficient at working in high-transaction production environment.Excellent understanding of Microsoft Windows, SQL, AD, etc.Clear understanding of Networking and server technologies.In-depth knowledge of securing servers and infrastructure
