Building on this expertise, we are now launching a new suite of GenAI and SaaS services, designed specifically for financial professionals.Recognized as the Best Alternative Data Provider by WatersTechnology and included in this year's Top 100 Next Unicorns by Viva Technology, we're now preparing to launch a next-generation platform aimed at transforming financial decision-making.TasksAs a Cloud DBA, you will report directly to the Database Manager and work with an international team of developers skilled in SQL, Python, Java, Common Lisp, and Cloud technologies to ensure that all goals are accomplished in a cost-effective manner.Your main responsibility will be applying best practices to ensure that the organization's databases are operational, reliable, easily accessible, scalable, and secure. You will research, design, and implement different technologies and processes to achieve that purpose, make the data consistent by creating backups, and troubleshoot any issues that might arise.Evaluating new database technologies: Learning new database technologies and working to integrate them into our system will be one of your responsibilities.Administrating, configuring, and analyzing queries for improvements with Postgres or Oracle.Analyzing the challenge of loading and maintaining large datasets, from choosing the best technology and database to designing the perfect schema.Helping to optimize queries.Creating and managing data backups.Participating in on-call rotation shifts.Requirements+2 years of experience working as a Linux DBA with large amounts of data in the cloud or equivalent experience.Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Excellent skills as a DBA, including ETL (extract, transform, and load), backup, and restore.Knowledge of when to apply relational OLTP (MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, etc.), OLAP (RedShift, Presto, Snowflake), or non-relational (MongoDB, DynamoDB) database technologies.Willingness to relocate to Marbella/Malaga. Hybrid work from the office (M/W/F).Valid EU citizenship.DesirableScripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar.Postgres experience administrating, configuring, and analyzing queries for improvements.Professional experience as a Linux Sys Admin.Demonstrable knowledge of network design and troubleshooting.Familiarity with technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark.BenefitsInternational Culture: Our client takes pride in being a truly diverse global organization
