SummaryAs a Unity Developer in YBVR, you will be a key builder helping us build high performance Unity-based SDKs and applications for immersive video targeting cutting edge VR/XR headsets.
In YBVR Unity Clients team, you will be implementing and refining the part of YBVR's tech stack that is closest, literally, to people's faces, and making sure all video and UX enhancing aspects of our technology are properly employed to delight users.The ideal candidate will have experience building Unity applications that employ video playback, streaming and 3D graphics, taking existing codebases and evolve them, communicating effectively as part of a team with both technical and non-technical audiences, and have a strong focus on high-performance and optimization.You will work in a dynamic startup environment, which is best suited if you consider yourself to be a highly motivated self-starter, and if you wish to work in an environment with a positive vibe and a range of people from product managers and designers to developers and business analysts to bring new features into the world.What will you do?Work closely with a dedicated team to develop video-centric immersive experiences.Develop new features, reusable components, and documentation as requested by the team lead.Coordinate with your team to define development timeframes, dependencies, and areas of risk to be considered in project planning.Investigate technology trends to outline their implementation path considering technological challenges and product priorities.Continuous improvement of the product with special focus in performance, quality, and scalability.Prototype ideas into self-contained demos, robust enough to become final features.You will be successful in this position if youHave experience building software with Unity (games or apps), ideally consumer-facing and content driven.Understand in a solid way the full software development life cycle.Can write documented, unit testable, C# code.Pay a lot of attention to detail, self-test your code rigorously, and deliver high quality work.Can balance a quality-driven mindset with a pragmatic and realistic approach.Are not afraid of digging deep into how software components work.Can count at least one of the bonus points below.Bonus points if you alsoWorked with video and streaming technologies.Have developed standalone VR applications, Unity XR Interaction Toolkit and/or proprietary SDK XR integrations.Worked with 3D engines at a lower level (e.G.
working with shading languages and with OpenGL/Vulkan code).Are familiar with complex Quaternion operations.Have optimized performance in Unity applications that might run in low-end devices.Programmed with Android Java Object Unity interface or native imports.Knowledge about C Unity/Android intermediates.Developing applications with strong interaction and coordination with remote servers for dynamically generated UIs.Experience with rapid prototyping.Have a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related degree, or relevant professional experience.Feel good working in a scrum/agile or kanban environment.Sounds like you?We would love to hear from you
