Contribute to the collaborative project aimed at advancing Focused Ion Beam (FIB)-based methods to characterize residual stress in materials, impacting various modern processing technologies such as laser welding, 3D printing, shot peening, and high-speed machining.Designation: Post Doctoral ResearcherResearch Area: Development of the FIB-based methods to characterize residual stress in materialsEligibility/Qualification: The successful candidate must hold a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a similar field. Key qualifications include:Deep knowledge of the plasticity of metals.Expertise in Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy techniques, specifically applied to metals and alloys.Previous experience in Finite Elements simulations, preferably in COMSOL.Proficiency in programming languages: C, C++, C# or Python.Proficiency in spoken and written English.Previous experience in inventive activity and patenting.Ability for independent research and coordination of activities among different research groups.Job Description: The position involves active participation in a collaborative project with technical universities, technological centers, and industry partners.
