RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is an innovative igaming company that is transforming how people experience and engage with online casino / games. They need a Financial Accountant who will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations with a wide array of responsibilities ranging from revenue and player cycle accounting to regulatory reporting and vendor management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial principles combined with a proactive mindset to drive efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
What will you do as a Financial Accountant?
? Oversight of revenue recording across all platforms and brands within the group.
? Conduct reconciliations of player balances, collaborating with Payment Service Providers (PSPs) and Business Intelligence (BI) teams to resolve discrepancies promptly.
? Ensure accurate posting of entries to control accounts related to the gaming cycle, with regular reconciliation checks.
? Manage periodic reporting of all costs, accurately allocating expenses across brands and cost centers.
? Collaborate with internal stakeholders to calculate direct and non-direct cost accruals, including fees, gaming duty, PSP fees, and marketing expenses.
? Perform thorough invoice checks to validate accuracy and provide support to approving managers for cost understanding.
? Develop expertise in gaming platforms and internal reporting systems, leveraging technology to enhance financial processes.
? Oversee payment processes with digital affiliates, ensuring timely and accurate payments in compliance with contractual agreements.
What do you know that makes you a great Financial Accountant?
? Qualified/part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or AAT qualified.
? Previous experience within the online industry is strongly preferred.
? Proficient in technical accounting principles with a strong aptitude for financial analysis.
? Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
? Familiarity with accounting software, experience with Netsuite would be advantageous.
? Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a track record of adapting to change.
Salary £50k - 60k based on experience.
