Our client is a hyper-growth Prop-Tech started in 2020 by founders with deep experience in travel and technology.  They  are now at 190 employees across five markets, have experienced a 6x growth in revenue since last year and have raised €40M in funding led by top-tier venture capital firms.
They were r anked as one of the most promising Spanish startups of 2022, and t his year, they aim to continue building out a world-class team and expanding into new markets.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the tax efforts of the whole group of companies. That means coordinating the external advisors, implementing internal changes regarding taxes, and making sure all tax forms and liquidations are presented in absolute compliance. 
This role will hire another person of the team that will fall under her/his supervision. The tax Manager will be in charge of that person's training and coordination as well.
The ultimate tax objective of the company is taking all necessary measures to prevent any tax incidences in any of the jurisdiccions: Spain, Portugal, Germany, France and the US. 
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success, working both within accounting firms and finance departments at mature companies. Strong sense of compliance, high attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills are all important attributes to succeed in this role. This candidate will also need to be structured, process and very well organized.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

?  Coordinate the tax initiatives for the company
?  Be up to date to any Tax regulations that affect the company's activity
?  Decide on the best tax advisors for each location
?  Think about the corporate tax structure of the group.
?  Support the Finance team in the correct preparation of invoice templates.
?  Support the Product team in the correct way to display how taxes affect bookings on the site.
?  Define and maintain a set of internal reports to give visibility of tax activities
WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS :
?   5+ years of relevant experience, both working at an accounting firm (ideally big 4) and in-house within the finance department of a company.
? Experience in having processed taxes, ideally in multiple countries.
? Experience coordinating different tax firms and reviewing their work.
? Extremely analytical mindset, very data driven in decision making and uncomfortable with ambiguity and chaos.
? Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders - able to influence at different levels
? Clear track record of promotions and strong references from managers and peers
? You can understand the drivers of the business and identify improvement points.
