Mission: As a QA Automation Engineer, your role will be pivotal in guaranteeing the quality and dependability of the various SaaS/UI products.
You'll serve as the automation authority for our QA team, maintaining standardized QA tools and offering guidance and assistance to those with less technical expertise.
Responsibilities: Analyze application functionalities and devise automated functional tests.
Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, testers, and stakeholders to influence product design, testability, and execution.
Comprehend the testing requirements, encompassing UI, API, and Database testing.
Establish and manage QA tools and testing frameworks, aiding in the integration of nightly builds or other CI phases.
Create comprehensive test plans derived from feature analysis and a thorough understanding of application behavior, ensuring functionality, usability, performance, and reliability of the company's software.
Assist fellow QAs in automation endeavors by tackling complex technical issues.
Refine and optimize testing processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Promote a positive team culture by fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and ongoing learning initiatives.
About you: 5+ years experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in a software development environment.
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, TestNG, Junit, Cucumber, REST Assured, or similar.
Familiarity with programming languages (Java at a high level).
High level in Maven and project configuration, knowledge of Maven plugins.
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger.
Strong knowledge of SQL queries.
Knowledge of distributed version control system (git), and knowledge of CI/CD tools, Jenkins, and bash scripting.
High command of English.
Nice to have: Knowledge of MongoDB would be valued.
Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
