Using their own proprietary platform and an incredible team, they now automate operational data for brands like Alessi, Represent Clothing, Adanola, and New Era - to name just a few
The company is experiencing impressive growth and is expanding their team to service their growing client base.
Position: Full Stack EngineerA key role for their continued development is that of a Full Stack Engineer.
What they're looking for is a Europe-based Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their diverse, global, and fully remote team to design and own their internal and external services.
You will be identifying and addressing gaps in their proprietary platform, as well as delivering features as defined by their product roadmap.
You will collaborate with team members at all levels to both seek and provide architectural input, guidance, and direction.
You'll have plenty of time to be a hands-on Engineer and become intimately familiar with the codebase.
Your ResponsibilitiesOverall responsibility for creating, maintaining, and improving their microservices, including back end and front end.Optimise these services for low latency and high bandwidth traffic.Enforce modern security best practices and shore up the backend.Implement and optimise unit and functional testing processes.Own pull and merge requests for your team.Input into technical and architectural decisions.Communicate with the organisation on progress, blockers, and opportunities.Write technical documentation about any product update or service changes.Your QualificationsMust-haves: 3+ years experience as a software engineer - with recent product company experience.Experience working on a dynamic product that is ever changing and evolving rapidly.Good experience coding with PHP and Python; any other language will be a plus.Experience working with one frontend microservice like VueJs or React.Experience with local environments set up and Docker Compose.Excellent understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs and HTTP protocols.Great verbal and written communicator with the ability to write clear and concise documentation.Ability to work across the software development lifecycle.Desirable: Good understanding of AWS cloud services.Strong understanding of version control systems.Experience working with non-relational databases.Educated teams around good coding practices and principles.Worked with management to help other Engineers perform and grow.A passion for simplifying development for yourself and others.Strong collaborator who can build relationships in a global and remote environment.Self-motivated to deliver against agreed timescales through effective prioritisation and management of workload.Pride and a mindset of ownership which values our users as the most important aspect of day-to-day work and activities.Ability to work independently and with initiative.Can positively challenge the status quo and drive change in engineering practices with well-reasoned arguments and a 'strong opinion, weakly held' mentality.BenefitsCompetitive salary with attractive bonus structure.27 days annual leave + an extra day for your birthday.7.5% employer / 4% employee contribution pension scheme.Private health insurance for you and your immediate family members (individual outside of the UK).Life insurance cover of up to £200k.Discretionary bonus scheme (last year at 15% of base salary).Enhanced maternity cover - 12 weeks at full pay.Enhanced paternity cover - 4 weeks at full pay.Parental Support Allowance - £5,000 allowance per family until child(ren) reaches school age.Career break opportunities.Company-facilitated in-person events 2-3 times per year.Training budget of up to £2,000 per year.Macbook Pro/or similar, remote working setup allowance.Fully remote role with encouragement to work from abroad.Off Grid Break Allowance - £500 towards health or wellness activities.If you think that you would be a good fit and are interested in applying for the role, please send your CV to ******.
