Offer Description IQUADRAT INFORMATICA S.L (IQU) is a technology company founded in 1997, with a focus on delivering System-Level evaluation tools for wireless networks.
IQU R&D has been providing global solutions and services in the use of Internet and Telecommunications to companies and institutions that use information and communication technologies in commercial, marketing, management and business communication areas.
IQU's R&D has a focused business plan specifically intended on delivering a "new generation of research tools for system level evaluation of wireless integrated communication systems".
The R&D department is involved in many National and EU-funded research projects and has extensive know-how in 5G/6G communication platforms, IoT platforms, and Demand Response algorithms for the Smart Grid.
IQU is also active in many EU funded research projects, related to Wireless Communications, 5G/6G, Smart Grids and IoT.
IQU´s R&D department is looking for three Doctoral Candidates in the framework of the Marie Curie Doctoral Network EXACT-6G funded by the European Commission.

The Doctoral Network is led by IQUADRAT, and comprises top European partners in the field such as ISI Athena, EUR-EURECOM GIE, UO-OULUN YLIOPISTO, GNW-GREENERWAVE, and NOK-NOKIA NETWORKS FRANCE.
EXACT6G is a newly launched Marie Sklodowska-Curie Doctoral Network that offers fifteen (15) PhD positions in eight European countries.
The project will work towards a break-through converged optical-wireless architecture that makes reality an efficient 6G Cell-Free (CF)-based access network for enabling the requested 1 Tb/s peak data rate and deployments with over 107 devices/km2 and for supporting new advanced user-services (e.g.
holographic telepresence, advanced AR/VR, massive digital twinning, flying networks, etc.).
Requirements Research Field: Engineering Education Level: Master Degree or equivalent Skills/Qualifications: Must hold a Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Math/Physics/Statistics or a related field Track record of research excellence Good communication skills Please include your internship availability in your application Specific Requirements: Be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers; Be of any nationality, but not having resided or carried out their main activity in the country of the host institution of the position they are applying to for more than 1 year in the past 3 years; Have not yet been awarded a PhD degree.

It involves creating algorithms for dynamic resource management in Collaborative Edge Computing (CEC) environments.
The aim is to improve the efficiency, scalability, and performance of 6G systems by enabling intelligent, adaptive resource coordination.

The role focuses on enabling seamless, self-adaptive orchestration for improved efficiency, scalability, and fault tolerance in dynamic infrastructures.
The ultimate goal is to create systems that can intelligently self-configure and adjust to changing demands without manual intervention, enhancing performance across diverse digital layers.
