Role purposeAs part of the Technical Solution Management team, the UC Service Delivery Config Engineer is responsible for the coordination and delivery of Colt's Unified Communications orders (Colt Intelligent Communications, IP Voice Solutions).
Colt decided to insource external delivery activities to follow our strategy to grow in the Cloud Market.
As Config Engineer, you will configure the Audiocodes Session Border Controllers (SBC) for our customers including the related connectivity like SIP Trunks, 3rd Party PBX and special configurations.
This could be on-premise SBCs or Cloud-based SBCs (AWS, Google, Azure, VMware, etc.).
After the configuration, the service needs to be documented and handed over to operations.
The role requires a person with the technical background knowledge (IP Telephony, SIP Trunking, Networking, etc.
), as well as good leadership and communication abilities in order to coordinate and configure all aspects of the solution and interact with all relevant stakeholders (customer technicians, partners, and Colt's technical teams).
Key accountabilitiesManaging migrations to the Cloud SBC and Customer dedicated SBC.Setup and configuration of dedicated Audiocodes SBCs according to the Colt deliverables on-premise SBCs or Cloud-based SBCs (AWS, Google, Azure, VMware, etc.
).Performs configuration tasks on all Colt's UC platforms, and coordinates with technicians in other areas to perform E2E testing and joint troubleshooting as required.Customer acceptance testing.Configure move, add, and changes on the SBCs during InLive.Manages relationships with external partners involved in the delivery of UC solutions, ordering their services and managing their resources during implementation accordingly (only if 3rd party is required).Provide product training (SBC, MS Teams, etc.)
and professional services to customers.Becomes a Product expert, supporting higher-level functions within Colt.
Collaborates with management and other teams to support complex customer deals, projects and proactively contributes to product improvement plans.Reception and validation of orders into Delivery pipeline.Works with Sales Teams to ensure an order is deliverable in accordance with agreed timelines, costs, and technical requirements.Main customer contact during delivery stage of a service.
Keeps customers informed of order status, resolves their Service Delivery queries and gathers low-level technical details required for provisioning of the service.What you will need to succeedMust-have: Has experience in a customer-facing role and technically complex environment.Has technical knowledge of how to configure SBC technologies and is familiar with the main players, vendors, and technologies (TCP/IP, SIP Trunking, Rbbn, Audiocodes, Microsoft, Avaya, Asterisk, Cisco, etc.
).SIP Config/Troubleshoot capabilities (read and understand trace files).Is able to work in a changing and challenging environment, manages pressure well and responds proactively.Strong team player, supports the team sharing knowledge, best practices and collaborating as required.Proficient in English + a second European language.Occasional travel may be required.Willingness to work OOH (MACs, Migrations).Not Mandatory but valued: Audiocodes ACE/ACA certification.Previous experience as a Voice technician or similar role.PM experience and/or qualifications (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).Technical related experience and/or qualifications (Microsoft, Avaya, Cisco, Asterisk).What we offerColt is a growing business that is investing in its people.
