.Sr. Director, Analyst – Digital Commerce Supply ChainThis is an individual contributor role, based remotely in Canada.About Gartner Analysts: Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have research, market predictions, and best practices for a broad range of world-leading organizations. A Senior Director, Analyst leverages their experience and dives deep into research and analysis of data to develop insights that help clients solve problems and improve their company's performance.A Senior Director, Analyst is a trusted source of advice for clients, reinforcing Gartner's value every day by engaging clients via virtual meetings, in-person meetings, sales support, and conferences to discuss complex client challenges and offer appropriate recommendations. As a digital commerce supply chain thought leader, you will build insights and advise senior supply chain and technology leaders on leading trends across process and technology.What you'll do:Lead Gartner's cross-industry coverage of the digital commerce supply chain including order management.Maintain awareness of leading digital commerce supply chain practices and technologies, seeking trends and publishing actionable research.Develop innovative, thought-provoking, fact-based, and highly leverageable research for supply chain leaders that offers compelling, actionable approaches to client's needs and accelerates their ability to act.Research, analyze and predict digital commerce supply chain market trends and shifts to provide supply chain clients and vendors with contextualized, actionable insights.Provide clients and prospects in senior supply chain roles with actionable advice via virtual or face-to-face interactions.Create and deliver high-value presentation materials on and off stage for Gartner events, industry and professional association conferences, and client briefings.Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions and collaborate effectively with peers in the research community.Support research commercialization, proof of concept discussions with prospects, and client engagement strategies with commercial partners.Provide high quality and timely research content peer review.Be a mentor and a coach by supporting more junior team members.Drive client demand for your advice and insight.Subject Matter Expertise: The Sr. Director, Analyst will apply in-depth knowledge of digital commerce supply chain technologies and processes including order management to deliver impactful client engagements and create high-value research. Key areas of desired subject matter expertise include:The evaluation, selection, and deployment of digital commerce supply chain technologies including Distributed Order Management (DOM) systems.End-to-end digital commerce supply chain strategy and operations.Engagement/collaboration with key customers e.G. Amazon Retail last-mile fulfillment.Direct-to-consumer strategies for brand manufacturers
