Write the next chapter of your ABB story.This position reports to:Principal Technical ConsultantYour role and responsibilities:In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive the execution of the digital ecosystem strategy in the assigned area. Each day, you will support in developing and implementing a comprehensive digital ecosystem, covering one or more specific areas such as channels and partnerships for co-creation, onboarding, and monitoring solutions on ABB marketplace. You will showcase your expertise by demonstrating a solid understanding of digitalization needs and trends in the industry and assigned aspects of the digital ecosystem.Key responsibilities include:Capturing market opportunities, understanding customer drivers and digitalization needs, developing and evolving technology partnerships, and translating these into a solution-based business strategy to leverage untapped digital value.Developing and implementing appropriate and often new business models for digital transformation opportunities in Process Performance (Advanced Process Control APC/MPC, Analytics, Performance Services, Simulation) with customers in all Process Industries verticals (Mining, Pulp & Paper, Metals, Food & Beverage).Analyzing customer requirements to ensure digital solution(s) meet objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen.Acting as a high-level technical expert for the Process Performance portfolio across Process Industries verticals, providing knowledge and analysis of specialized software applications and operational environments, functional systems analysis, design, integration, and implementation advice for complex digital solution implementation.Providing direction and mentoring to sales and project teams.Interfacing with and influencing customer's senior technical and business leadership.Continuously driving business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions with sales teams.Qualifications for the role:5+ years of experience driving digital transformation in complex global organizations, ideally in a B2B environment (Process, Energy, software, technology, automation).Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.Hands-on experience in the OT/software industry with a focus on digitalization and Industrial Software. Deep understanding of relevant technologies and trends.Proven track record in consultative selling, with a strong customer focus, exposure to top management, driving results, building pipeline, and turning opportunities into sales successes.Ability to drive success in direct and matrix organizations.Thorough understanding of the industry customer's end-to-end digital journey through hands-on exposure to transformation planning initiatives. Implemented APC through a full lifecycle from requirements gathering to aftermarket support.Deep experience in the industrial software environment; division-specific industry exposure (industrial automation/advanced software) preferred; experience and background in one or more of the division industrial domains such as Mining, Pulp & Paper, Metals, Cement, Food & Beverage.Background in cloud and edge technologies, digital twins, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning as applied to Process Performance solutions.Experience in the justification, design, implementation, and maintenance of process control applications.Understanding of pre-test, tuning, step testing, model identification, inferential deployment, interfacing, and commissioning.Excellent networking skills developed in a highly international organization, with a "leading by influence" approach.Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with additional languages being a plus.Availability to travel regionally as required.What's in it for you?Learn from highly experienced, genuine, and caring colleagues – people who are committed to helping you achieve your personal and professional goals.Help customers in driving efficiency and sustainability, making a strong impact.Get exposed to cutting-edge technology in Process Automation and have a visible impact on the future.More about us:The Process Industries Division serves the mining, minerals processing, metals, cement, pulp and paper, battery manufacturing, and food and beverage, as well as their associated service industries.
