Zurich Insurance is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as the Senior Digital Solution/Product Architect. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our Business Units and the Digital Payments Product Management.
You will champion the cross-group reusability of digital assets, ensuring that our client and intermediary-facing tools are utilized to their fullest potential across Zurich. This emphasis on scalability will allow us to maximize the benefits of our digital assets and achieve the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness.

Your role As a Senior Digital Solution/Product Architect your main responsibilities will involve Collaborate closely with Product Management, Business Units and Developer Team to bring the product roadmap to life. Provide early opinion on technical feasibility and viability of product ideas Lead the development and execution of solution demos to make the Digital Payments Product more tangible Establish and advocate the Architecture Principles supporting Decoupling, Scale, Distributed processing, Microservices, Domain Driven Design, Performance, Security, Event Driven Architecture etc. Define the high level Logical Architecture(aka System Design) of the product, aligning to architecture principles. Ability to build consensus on the architectural solutions For new Product offerings, contribute to Epic elaboration, define use-cases, evaluate trade-offs, honour domain principles, produce Architecture artifacts (C4 Model) and System Design documentation, identify and define service interactions and produce flow level architecture etc. Deep engagement with the Dependent Domains to ensure seamless integration adhering to the Domain Driven Design principles Lead business unit level engagements from the solution implementation side Even so this is an individual contributor role team leadership of assigned developers contributing to the Digital Payment Product is required Your Skills and Experience As a Digital Solution/Product Architect your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated experience in Software Architecture and System Design Proven history of designing enterprise-grade applications following Domain Driven Design, Microservices, Event Driven Systems, Cloud Native principles, API design, Eventual Consistency etc. Exposure to Cloud, Messaging middleware's, Monitoring tools, Authentication/Authorization, gRPC, REST, Variety of Persistence and Caching technologies, Frontend stack etc. Exposure to following technologies- Java, REST, SpringBoot, Kafka, NATS, gRPC, noSQL, Cassandra, Postgres, Redis, Prometheus, Grafana, React etc. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Exhibit sound judgment and swift decision-making skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proven history in payments industry and payment services solution development Experience in the insurance industry is a plus Option to work remotely within Spain even up to 100% - you choose Over 300 euros net to set up your home office and additional monthly home office allowance Wide range of internal and external trainings Free English, German and Spanish classes depending on the needs Ticket restaurant Life Insurance Collective Life Retirement Plan - after 1 year in the company Referral bonus if you bring other talented people like you Special banking and insurance conditions Primary work location is Barcelona, Poblenou.
