The position is temporary with a duration of 12 months.
The location for the position is Porriño, Spain.What Will You Be DoingIn this position, your work will include machining and deburring.
On a typical day, you might machine one or several pieces.
You will not be working on this alone - even though the work requires a high level of independence, you will have support from your supervisor and your teammates.For us to be the best match, we expect you to have a good understanding of manufacturing standards and experience working with CNC machines.
As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from other manufacturing environments and knowledge of manufacturing processes.For you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have a good attitude and willingness to learn.As a Machine Operator, your work will focus on these responsibilities:Set-up and basic care of machine toolingMachining of components to specificationCNC machine programming and editingTooling and fixture set-upUse of measuring equipmentQuality checking own workUse of engineering machinery (i.e.
pillar drills, hand tools, bandsaw etc.
)DeburringUse of overhead cranesCommunicate with all ops teams to ensure proactive actions are taken to meet OTIF.Continuous improvement relating to process and procedures.All duties carried out to be done in a safe manner following HS safety procedures.Any other duties that may be required.To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:CNC machining knowledge.Experience working with engineering drawings.Why you and us?We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility for our work.
