Job Description:
A vacancy for an Aircraft Conformity Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Seville. The successful applicant will join A400M Conformity & CCMD Department, acting in FAL, Flight Line and Delivery Center in San Pablo facilities. This position will lead the holder to collaborate with our current Certifying Staff of Airbus DS, with a similar on-the-job training and preparing himself to be a future Certifying Staff, being recognized by the Company and Military and Civil Authorities as the staff with the signature rights to declare an aircraft safe for operation or ready to be delivered. As representative of the company in front of Authorities and Customer, a high level of responsibility is required.
Tasks & Accountabilities: To ensure the Conformity of A400M Aircrafts, being responsible for drumbeating the actions needed to ensure:
The Configuration Control to check that the as-built aircraft is according to its as-designed, supporting other departments/workshop when needed.
The Safety of the Aircraft, declaring it Ready for First Engine Run (FOT), Ready for First Flight (PFF) among others Conformity Milestones.
The Airworthiness of the Aircraft, obtaining from the Authorities the Airworthiness Certificates.
The Continuous Airworthiness during Flight Line and Delivery Process, taking into account the manufacturing status and any external input as Airworthiness Directives, Alerts, etc. declared by Design Office or Authorities.
Signature of the final certification of each aircraft (CoC/Peram 52 /Peram 53), representing the Company for that purpose.
For these activities, the A/C Conformity Manager drumbeats a large multifunctional team. To promote quality and improvement culture, looking for improvements in the certification process but also in any other area of the manufacturing process, as final certification of an aircraft needs to ensure the whole process is properly done. In this position, there is a wide view of processes, departments in manufacturing and design office, flight operations, program office, Authorities, Customers, etc. The holder of this position will be focal point for Military Authorities activities at FAL and will have a direct role during the Deliveries Process to Final Customer (OCCAR and Air Forces), being needed negotiation skills and having impact in how they evaluate our Company.
Knowledge Requirements: Knowledge about EASA Part 21, EMAR 21, DGAM PERAM 21, etc. is required for this position, but will be part of the initial training.
Required Skills: Educated to Aeronautical Engineering is mandatory (for Certifying Staff)
At least 3 years of experience in aeronautical manufacturing.
Advanced level in English and Spanish.
Knowledge in manufacturing tools (SAP SP1/PAC/PDR, SIPLA, TLB, etc.)
Knowledge in configuration tools (ACC2, PASS, etc.)
Knowledge in aeronautical regulations (EASA Part 21, DGAM PERAM 21, etc.)
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Team leadership, as being able to drumbeat a MFT is needed.
Proactive, able to propose new ideas and improvement driven.
Innovative and open-minded.
