We are looking for an engineer to join our Cloud Centre of Excellence team to support and evolve the design and implementation of our global cloud infrastructure.
Our team:
Manages AWS & GCP account creation and governanceProvides oversight on cloud infra spend and usage & drives cost efficiencyResearches & evangelizes patterns on cloud adoptionSets architecture standards and frameworksDevelops tools to enable Groupon software teams to deploy micro-services and resources to the cloud in a self-serve manner, adhering to best practices and guard railsDefines key metrics for platform availability, performance, and usability, ensuring successful and efficient cloud transitionYou'll spend time on the following : Becoming a subject matter expert on Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Google Cloud Deployment Manager patternsOnboarding engineering teams to Groupon's AWS and GCP Cloud SystemsImplementing best practices for multi-account IAM and access modelsAutomating AWS & GCP account provisioning and modificationsCrafting and implementing guardrails for cloud operationsCollaborating with internal engineering teams to design effective cloud infrastructureSupporting cloud-related issues, triaging, and resolving problemsParticipating in on-call rotations during peak periodsWe're excited about you if you have : BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field5+ years of experience with AWS or GCP cloud ecosystems in production5+ years of creating automation services in the cloud using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Deployment Manager5+ years of managing data governance and protocol across multiple cloud accountsExperience with cloud account provisioning and modificationsProficiency in coding, reviewing, and testing methodologiesUnderstanding of cloud challenges like design for failure, security, and cost managementA DevOps/CI/CD mindsetWe're even more excited about you if you have : MS in Computer ScienceAWS CertificationExperience with Python, Go, or ScalaGroupon is an AI-First Company We're committed to building smarter, faster, and more innovative ways of working—AI plays a key role.
