About the Role As a Procurement Manager at Bound4blue, you will play a critical role in ensuring our organization has the necessary resources to operate effectively. You will utilize your management and negotiation skills to identify and source the best products and services, working closely with various departments and stakeholders to understand and meet our procurement needs. Your role will involve selecting new suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, approving purchase orders, and performing risk assessments. Your leadership and communication skills will be essential in overseeing the procurement lifecycle and articulating the organization's procurement strategy.
Key Responsibilities Identifying Procurement Needs: Collaborate with internal departments to determine the procurement needs of the entire organization. Direct and Indirect Procurement: Manage the procurement of raw materials, goods, and services for both manufacturing and daily operations. Competitive Bidding: Create RFQs and oversee competitive bidding cycles. Budget and Strategy Management: Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies, manage budgets, and streamline payment processes. Supplier Management: Evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain advantageous relationships with vendors. Performance Monitoring: Track supplier performance to ensure timely and effective delivery of goods and services. Forecasting and Planning: Predict future demand and manage purchase requisitions. Approval and Documentation: Finalize purchase details, approve purchase requests, and maintain detailed records. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze procurement data, conduct spend analysis, and prepare reports. Workflow Optimization: improve and automate the purchase-to-pay processes and tools. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and laws. Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate procurement risks. Industry Monitoring: Stay updated with industry trends and developments. Required Competencies Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years in procurement within industry-related sectors (steel structures, machined components, electrical and control equipment, etc. ). Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In-depth understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and relevant regulations. Experience with procurement software and tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English. Ability to travel up to 60 days per year. Strong commitment to accuracy and safety protocols.
