.Speech and Language TherapistLocation: Dublin South, IrelandContract: Permanent / Full or Part-timeSalary: Negotiable SalaryAbout the Role:An excellent mental health organisation in Dublin is hiring a Speech and Language Therapist to play an integral role in a friendly, dynamic, and supportive multi-disciplinary team and significantly contribute to mental health.Reports to: Clinical DirectorWork Location: Dublin South, IrelandMode of Working: On-siteWorking Hours: 37 hours weekly (for full-time)Responsibilities:Conducting assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.Designing and implementing individualized therapy plans based on assessment results.Providing therapy sessions to clients, both one-on-one and in group settings, using evidence-based techniques.Evaluating, monitoring and documenting client progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.Collaborating with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and holistic care.Participating in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.Making clinical decisions following assessment of complex cases.Arranging and carrying out assessment and treatment/intervention programmes in line with local policy/guidelines.Working collaboratively with the MDT and service users in supporting the management of Decision Making and Capacity Assessments for service users.Communicating results of assessments and recommendations to the service user and relevant others as appropriate.Documenting all assessments, diagnoses, treatment/intervention plans, clinical notes, relevant contacts and summaries in accordance with department and professional standards.Providing clinical leadership in the day-to-day running of the service by supporting and supervising staff, prioritising and allocating work and promoting positive staff morale.Managing, participating and playing a key role in the practice education of student therapists and promoting and engaging in the teaching/training/support/supervision of others as appropriate.Engaging in planning and performance reviews, as required with the Clinical Director.Contributing to service developments by monitoring and evaluating emerging needs and trends in consultation with team members.Developing the role of the Senior Speech and Language Therapist and the service e.G. through planning, audit, production of standards, continuing education, quality improvement initiatives and research.Being responsible for the coordination and delivery of service in designated area(s).Ensuring good working practice and adherence to standards of best practice.Participating in the control and ordering of clinical equipment.Requirements:Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy.Registered with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist in Ireland.Dysphagia qualification to accredited level by IASLT
