Working within the Merchandising department and across the business, the Developer will be responsible for ownership of technical aspects of applications development to drive business growth. From business requirements they will develop solutions that enhance current processes. · Job Title – Applications Junior Developer · Location – JD Group, Hollins Brook Way, Pilsworth, Bury, BL9 8RR · Working rota – Monday to Friday · Working hours – 8:30am to 5:30pm What You'll Be Doing: Design, building and modification of new and existing solutions to deliver against the business needs and requirements. Working alongside product owners and project management team to ensure solutions are delivered against agreed business requirements. Ensuring applications are aligned with best practice and policy to ensure quality deliverables. Supporting the project team with planning and estimation of the project tasks and delivery dates Develop solid understanding of solutions and services across the JD Group. Develop good team working relationships within Merchandising and the wider JD Group. Develop applications to meet specifications and requirements; produce technical documentation. Provide support on applications, including continuous improvements and stakeholders' requests. Develop a good working rapport with stakeholders and communicate in an effective manner, ensuring all parties are kept well informed of progress of business change. Work closely with relevant stakeholders to achieve the solution. What We're Looking For: Proficient in Python/R studio Good working knowledge of HTML/CSS and web development tools like Flask, Django or ReactJS. Proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Strong leadership skills Well organised, with the ability to coordinate and prioritise different activities Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills Good understanding of data analytics and project lifecycles GCP tools knowledge would be advantageous (Cloud Run/Build/Functions/BigQuery) Knowledge of developing and consuming APIs and Web Services VBA/SQL knowledge would be beneficial.
