Every day, more than 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.Play your part bringing together mobility and responsibility by joining Alstom Team as Indirect Buyer for Corporate Services in Madrid or Barcelona, Spain.PURPOSE OF THE JOB:This position leads the main Indirect categories in scope, which include (but are not limited to) Business and corporate management consultation services, temporary labor, recruitment, and communication services.There will be close partnership with Communication, Legal, HR, Finance, and Operations.The role reports directly to the Spain and Portugal Head of Indirect Procurement.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop long-term strategic plans for the entire spend area within Corporate Services for Spain and Portugal Cluster.Manage in-country (Spain and Portugal) procurement activities and deliver on savings plan, managing relevant policies.Manage requestors and supplier relationships to ensure that Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future Business needs and that the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies.Coordinate the introduction of new and modified services with appropriate departments.Advise on contracts and agreements for the supply of complex services with new and existing suppliers.ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCEUniversity degree or equivalent qualifications.Previous experience in a buyer role.Proven, successful supplier negotiation skills and understanding of contract terms and conditions.Understanding of contract principles and clauses and ability to construct and interpret agreements.Excellent communication/relationship skills; be a confidential and trustworthy business partner.Strong communication skills and ability to influence others.Comfort with risk and ambiguous situations.Accuracy, problem-solving, planning and organization, result orientation, service orientation, and ability to perform in stressful situations.DESIRABLEExperience working within Indirect procurement, preferably Corporate or professional services categories.Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a plus.ARIBA S2C experience.You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
