The team is based in Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.What You Will DoWork closely with Senior Art Director, ensuring all creative material is consistently aligned with the game vision and is of exceptional high qualitySupport the brand through creative designs and unique experiencesLead creative brainstorms by engaging the artists to identify creative solutions/directionAbility to set clear art direction for various features and/or content by working with various art discipline to deliver excellent artEstablish and drive an art culture that engages talent, maximizes team potential, and encourages proactive cross-discipline collaboration to deliver the best possible player experienceArt Manager responsibilities; performance reviews and goal management for the art team based in EUContribute to studio level planning for the product teamPartner with art producer in driving art team's production processBe responsible for the art team health including team morale, providing effective oversight of team training and resourcing needsIdentify inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement within the creative processLead inter-department communications as they relate to art and assist in supporting all external art requirementsBring innovative vision and creative flair while maintaining a diegetic design approachWhat We're Looking ForFacilitate collaboration across multiple art disciplines, 2D, UI, 3D, Anim, and VFXExperience in managing a large group of artistsShipped and supported at least one title as an Art Lead or Associate ADExperience in developing social games on mobile platforms, with a preference to casual spaceArt style that demonstrates a good understanding of whimsical art styleHighly skilled at providing clear direction, guidance and mentoring tailored to the skill level of team members across all Art disciplinesAn eye for detail, able to apply expert level art judgment on form, perspective, color, style, composition and movement in a way which gives the confidence and authority to own the art qualityProven to be flexible, highly motivated and approachableDeep understanding of how game art/visual design supports gameplay, UX, narrative and brand positioning / marketingFamiliar with game pipelines and their restrictionsAble to communicate and propagate the artistic vision throughout the studio and deliver concise, upwards feedback to GM, executives and the wider business7+ years of experience in Art Lead or Associate AD roleBonus PointsExperience in working with an IPKnowledge in working with UnityPlease include a portfolio/reel or PDF/links to examples of your work in the applicatio n.At Scopely, we create games for everyone - and want to ensure that the people behind our games reflect that We are committed to creating a diverse, supportive work environment where everyone is treated with respect.
