They are directly accountable for delivery of safe, secure and available operations of all data centers in their span of control.
They manage the main functions related to operational activities, namely DC Infrastructure Operations (managed by the DC Infrastructure Lead), Operations Quality, Energy Management and Third-Party Contract Management.
As such, the Head of Data Center Operations is accountable for multiple campuses within Spain.
They lead initiatives to improve safety, physical security and operational performance including energy performance at country level.The Head of Data Center Operations reports to the Country Director.
They liaise with the Global DC Operations Director to define their operational objectives and contribute to local and global strategic goals.
They benchmark their processes and operational performance with other countries, with the support of Data4 Operations Global Process Owners.
They manage health, safety, environment and physical security at their facilities with the support of the HSE and Physical Security Managers.
They liaise on a regular basis with Customer Success team to ensure client operational requests and objectives are met.The Head of Data Center Operations is responsible for defining career paths in accordance with the country growth strategy.
They define together with the Country Director, the Global DC Operations Director and Human Resources the training strategy with the aim of turning DC Operations personnel into leaders showing entrepreneurship, responsibility and adaptability.
They identify competences and resources available and provide direction and expertise to all individual contributors within their scope by promoting Data4 strategy and best business practices
