May accept laboratory analysis and related assignments when required and ensures timely delivery of laboratory reports by coordinating and managing the complete workflow.General ResponsibilitiesAssist Laboratory Manager and/or Branch Manager in their responsibilities at the location.Responsible for the efficient organization of all department processes and personnel during the shift to meet client needs accurately and in time.Ensure operation runs at the lowest possible costs while meeting safety, quality of service, employee satisfaction, and maintenance of assets.Ensure full cooperation with Laboratory Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager, and all other managers on all assignments.Follow all company procedures as established by Saybolt and Core Laboratories, including HSE Manual, Accounting Policies & Procedures, and Ethics Policy.Report directly to Laboratory Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, and/or Branch Manager.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceMinimum professionalism certificate related to chemistry/laboratory and/or Chemistry/Engineering university degree; or 2-3 years of relevant customer service or laboratory experience.Knowledge of petrochemical products, chemicals, gases, other liquid cargoes, and/or agricultural products.Excellent verbal and written knowledge of local language and English.Advanced computer skills (MS Windows, Word, Excel, company systems).Social Skills- Leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, good communication skills, and team-building skills.- Highly organized, positive, problem-solving, and analytical mindset.CompetenciesExcellent use of working tools, connect, excel spreadsheet, etc. Informing and reporting to clients with certain autonomy and supervision from Laboratory Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, or Branch Manager.Coordinate teamwork and organize chemists' work with excellent communication with managers.Ensure location staff carry out activities in accordance with client instructions, international test methods, and company policies.Monitor timelines, communicate progress to clients (in case of delays, incidents), and intervene when necessary.Review laboratory reports/forms for completeness, appropriateness, and accuracy.Report updates and final reports to clients timely to fulfill company KPIs.Schedule and participate in safety meetings, investigate accidents, and emphasize safety to all laboratory personnel.Assist Laboratory Manager in reviewing and approving chemist staff expenses, time records, and incentives related to laboratory activities.Ensure compliance with HSE Manual and local safety regulations, and IATA requirements for transportation of samples by air
