.Offer DescriptionIntroduction to the vacant position:The Protein Phase Transitions in Health and Disease Research Group is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to design and build combinatorial mutational libraries in the context of amyloid forming proteins and proteins that undergo biomolecular condensation. The candidate will also develop novel selection methods able to report on biophysical properties and processes at scale.Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will develop research involving:Design of mutational librariesMethod development (yeast, human cell lines)Sequencing data analysisBiophysical modelling and validationRequirements for candidates:PhD in Biophysics/GenomicsPrevious experience in high-throughput assays such as (but not only) deep mutational scanningRobust computational skillsEvidence of independent and critical thinkingGood communication skills, ability to collaborate, commitment, proactivity, integrityWe Offer:Number of available positions: 1Starting date: 01/11/2024Working conditions:Full-timeMeasures to reconcile work and family life (maternity and paternity leave, flexible schedule working hours, teleworking, 23 working days of paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters, among others).IBEC ensures equality of access to professional development opportunities irrespective of employment status, length at IBEC or other factors.
