Exciting opportunity to join the MLRO Organization within the AEPE AML team We are looking for a dedicated analyst who is passionate about AML within the payments industry to support our GMS business on the different acquisition models. What you will do? Identification and analysis of the AML legal requirements applicable to the merchant business activities performed in the EEA countries where American Express Payments Europe, S.L., is licensed to operate with other business models other than a permanent establishment.
Daily AML regulatory advice to the GMS business and other key stakeholders (Operational Excellence, LOBCO, GCO, Compliance Regulatory, etc.).
AML Subject Matter Expert advice and guidance to meet all relevant external and internal applicable AML regulatory requirements. Definition and setting of AML regulatory standards and positions and subsequent socialization and training.
Compliance AML oversight of the different AEPE acquisition models, ensuring regulatory and internal policy requirements are being met.
Compliance AML acknowledgment of Operational Risk Events where AML review and input is needed.
Management of AML regulatory interactions and AML regulatory reporting.
Compliance AML risk assessment of new AEPE/GMS acquisition models/initiatives.
Engagement and representation as part of the AML AEPE Team in projects/initiatives where AML SME knowledge is needed.
Active presenter and attendee of Governance Committees.
Qualifications Relevant AML experience in a Financial Institution, Payment Institution or any other regulated entity.
Regulatory interactions experience.
Law degree and/or Business Management degree.
Experience in providing AML regulatory advice to the business and to 1 line teams.
Strong communication skills, multi-tasking and problem-solving approach.
Detail oriented, analytical attitude.
