Cameco welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, abilities, and experiences to apply.As a member of the SHEQ team, you will coordinate various aspects of the radiation protection program at the Port Hope conversion facility.Position and ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities include administration of the site radiation protection program (external and internal dosimetry/lung count program, radiation hazards and contamination control, radioisotope control and ALARA) as well as direct/indirect supervision of the radiation and environment group and the health physics group. You ensure compliance with all radiological standards and procedures at the facility by conducting inspections of the facility, reviewing monitoring results and carrying out investigations and reporting functions to ensure the site meets the requirements of Cameco's health physics programs and the guidelines specified by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.Education and QualificationsRequirements of the position:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience gained within a highly regulated environment2-3 years of experience supervising or leading teamsExperience coordinating activities necessary to achieve program objectivesEnvironmental and/or radiation protection experienceExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsPossess strong organizational skills and attention to detailsAssets:Experience working within a unionized environmentSafety sensitive positionCompetition: 40441Posted: October 18, 2024Posting end date: November 1, 2024The physical and psychological safety of our employees is a top priority at Cameco.
