Overstory is a remote-first company, with people living all over the U.S. and Europe.The role As a Senior Engineer, you will work within the Vegetation Management Experience team to evolve a suite of web applications that enable utility companies to more effectively manage risks associated with climate change, wildfires, and storms.
You will work as part of a cross-functional product team, closely with product managers, designers, and tech leads to build products that our customers love.What you will do Over the next 6-12 months you will be working on:Performance & Scalability: ensure that our product can handle 3x YoY growthAccelerate time to value of new product capabilitiesReduce the amount of manual work required to ingest vegetation analysis into our customer-facing applicationsYou will be an influential member of the team, taking the lead on and contributing to key initiatives.
Additionally, you will coach and mentor other engineers on the team.About You Passionate about climateExperience of working in a high growth scaleup environmentProduct-minded and able to demonstrate significant impact you have had on a business through the application of technologyProven experience of full stack development across the following (or similar) technologies: React/Typescript, Python/fastAPI, Postgres DB, Data pipelines.
