You'll conduct your own research and analysis, always with an eye on the long-term vision of the business. This is your opportunity to have a big impact on some of the most exciting new ideas that are shaping the future of Amazon.This position is based out of our London Corporate Office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon's current flexible work guidance. The role will include travel up to 15% of the time.Key job responsibilities:Create innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in your organizationWork alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritise improvement programmes, seeing them through from start to finishOverseeing complex, cross-functional programmes with internal and external stakeholdersOwning Amazon Rail's North Star and its development cyclesEngaging with Rail partners to drive Amazon's sustainability goalsLeveraging large data and performance metrics to drive business resultsLeading business reviews with Amazon leadership and senior-level Rail executivesPartnering with finance, legal and network teams to shape future growth plans and guide Rail and land-side partners through new launches and other special projectsA day in the life:As a Senior Programme Manager at Amazon, you'll lead transformative, data-driven initiatives that drive strategic improvements across the organization. Leveraging your exceptional project management skills, you'll define and execute efficient plans to address complex challenges with creativity and innovation. Your responsibilities will extend beyond process optimizations, as you'll also contribute to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Key duties include reviewing performance with internal and external partners, tracking expansion progress, building business cases, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive operational excellence.About the team:Amazon has built a robust intermodal rail network that is a key component of its logistics infrastructure. Amazon's rail operations play a critical role in supporting the company's growing retail and logistics footprint. The team is responsible for planning and executing efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable rail movements between Amazon's fulfillment and transportation hubs.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSA degreeExperience defining programme requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvementsExperience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadershipExperience owning programme strategy and end-to-end deliveryExperience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardizationExperience in programme or project managementExperience delivering cross-functional projectsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAdvanced degreeProficiency in SQLRelevant experience in RailExperience managing teamsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
