We need to ensure that the clients we serve and the transactions we carry out respect all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. This means that when we onboard a client, we need to perform a very important screening on the prospect and the transactions this client would like to do via us. And this is where you come inRole PurposeThe Screening Graduate is responsible for conducting the onboarding review in line with current policy to ensure all Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements are fulfilled. They play a vital role together with the sales team to provide a smooth onboarding experience while ensuring that our legal and compliance requirements are met.Responsibilities:1. Reviewing and/or investigating matches against sanctions, PEPs, adverse media, and internal lists in a timely fashion and processing as appropriate.2. Conducting real-time and retrospective rules-based monitoring on client transactions and processing alerts as appropriate.3. Responding to Requests For Information on transactions from banking partners.4. Responding to queries from other internal departments.5. Completing allocated tasks with focus and in a timely manner.6. Communicating the status of tasks to colleagues, supervisors, and managers, and escalating problems swiftly, as needed.7. Adhering to all internal policies, processes, and procedures.Requirements:1. Diligent, with good attention to detail and an analytic mind.2. Proactive, with the ability to work within strict time-frames and under pressure.3. Experience working successfully in a target-driven operational environment.4. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.5. Co-operative and comfortable working in a team environment.6. Curious and eager to learn, actively asking questions to confirm understanding of processes and procedures.7. Adaptable, with the ability to cope with changing products, processes, and procedures.8.
