EIT Digital Ecosystem Lead Job Description

This role requires working closely with the Regional Director for Region South to develop, sustain, and enhance our partner ecosystem. You will play a crucial part in driving innovation and education activities for our partners, supporting their recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts.

You will interact with national and regional innovation authorities to evolve the ecosystem and strengthen EIT Digital's financial footprint.

This position focuses on advancing EIT Digital's position within the European Green Digital sector and delivering cascade funding to capable innovation actors in this sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion innovation partnerships: Bring together innovators, businesses, and academic leaders to develop successful proposals for EU innovation and education funding.
  • Deliver high-impact projects: Lead the operational aspects of flagship projects (such as RIVCircular and Madrid Region EDIH) in collaboration with the Director and EIT Digital's innovation and education Leads.
  • Build and expand networks: Attract and retain top-tier partners for EIT Digital, while driving student recruitment for our prestigious educational programmes.
  • Operational excellence: Oversee the effective management of EIT Digital's innovation activities, ensuring projects meet objectives from funding acquisition to implementation.
  • Supervise and execute administrative, financial reporting, and logistical processes.
  • Create memorable events: Support and devise EIT Digital events that inspire, engage, and expand the reach of our ecosystem.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience and understanding of the green digital sectors, encompassing key technology enablers, breakthrough solutions from early-stage ventures, and the European venture funding landscape.
  • Academic background (MSc level) in STEM, preferably digital technology.
  • 5+ years' experience in operational management roles in R&D or innovation organisations.
  • Experience in acquiring and managing EU-funded projects.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional EU languages are a plus.
