Utilities around the world rely on our nuclear fuel products to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco's corporate office is based in Saskatoon. We have mining operations and projects in northern Saskatchewan, Kazakhstan, the United States and Australia. We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario. The Role The Cameco Technical Services team is looking for a student who thrives on tackling diverse challenges in a unique environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to the Saskatchewan mining operations. In this role you will: Assist with researching, creating, and implementing detailed preventive maintenance plans focused on Reliability and Mechanical Integrity. Assist in analyzing equipment failures and determining strategies for preventing future failures. Review inspection reports and recommendations to help determine corrective actions related to fixed and rotating equipment. Create reports and presentations to present failure modes, proposed corrective actions, celebrate successes and detail improvements. Although this position is in Saskatoon, you may be required to make occasional trips to Cameco's operations in northern Saskatchewan. Learn new skills related to equipment reliability and integrity across multiple operations using advanced analytical tools and software. Required: You are entering your third or fourth year as a university student specializing in mechanical engineering, structural engineering, or a related field. You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco. Occasional travel to the northern Saskatchewan sites. Recommended: Excellent communication, data analysis and compilation, and organization skills. Proficient with Microsoft Excel. Conditions of Employment: Pre-employment substance test
