The Barcelona Institute for Global Health, ISGlobal, is the fruit of an innovative alliance between academic, government, and philanthropic institutions to contribute to the efforts undertaken by the international community to address the challenges in global health.
ISGlobal is looking for a predoctoral researcher to work in the project SUSTAIN-MOBILISE-D project, a 2-y private-public consortium aiming to measure and validate digital mobility outcomes in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and hip fracture.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORISGlobal is looking for a predoctoral researcher to work in the project SUSTAIN-MOBILISE-D project, a 2-y private-public consortium aiming to measure and validate digital mobility outcomes in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and hip fracture.
MAIN DUTIES AND TASKSData cleaning and management of epidemiological and high-resolution mobility data (e.g., body sensors data)Contribute to statistical analysis of clinical cohort data of people with neurological and respiratory diseases.Perform statistical analysis of mobility data using advanced Bioinformatics.Interpret and discuss the results with other SUSTAIN-MOBILISE-D members.Provide data managing support to the researchers of the team. Participate to protocol writing and statistical analysis plan elaboration.SECONDARY TASKContribute to scientific publications, reports, and grant applications. 
 TRAINING AND EXPERIENCEDegree on Biostatistics, Biomedicine or similar
Training in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics.
Experience in biomedical and sensors data management 
Experience in neurologic or respiratory diseases.
Experience in R and Python will be an asset
SKILLSTeamplayer, yet capable of working autonomously, rational thinker.LANGUAGESProficiency in English (written and spoken).CONDITIONSDuration: 2 years

SELECTION PROCESSThe selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
