Senior Data Architect Location: Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Poland, hybrid or fully remote Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Regional Team.
As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's data architecture, including data models, databases, data integration, and data security.
You will work closely with internal and external business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to ensure that the data architecture meets the internal and external organization's business and technical requirements.
The role will cover internal projects within the organization as well as external projects with clients.
Responsibilities: Design and develop data models, database schemas, and data integration solutions.
Work with internal and external business stakeholders and data analysts to understand the data requirements and design data architecture accordingly.
Develop and maintain data architecture standards, policies, and procedures.
Ensure data security and privacy by implementing appropriate access controls and encryption techniques.
Optimize database performance and scalability by tuning database parameters and recommending hardware upgrades.
Develop, optimize, and maintain data migration and data integration processes.
Develop and maintain data dictionaries, data lineage, and data quality rules.
Stay up to date with the latest data architecture trends and technologies and recommend improvements to the existing data architecture.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that the data architecture aligns with the organization's IT strategy.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data architecture.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data integration.
Strong SQL and database skills.
Experience with Object-Oriented Programming in Python or Java.
Experience with REST API interfaces.
Experience in data governance and data lineage.
Experience in designing and implementing data security and privacy controls.
Experience in data migration and data integration.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
Knowledge of healthcare industry data standards and data models.
Beneficial: Experience in the medical domain.
Experience with Ontology Crosswalks.
