The position will report within the Lowell, MI facility on the second shift as a Maintenance Technician.Primary Responsibilities: Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all-inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned.Repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment including hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systemsUpgrade and maintain equipment safety guards and other necessary safety devicesRepair and maintain aluminum, steel, and stainless steel welding systemsCoordination of controls work with approved vendors as neededDrive continuous improvements through troubleshooting and analysis of equipment and processesPerforming preventive maintenance as part of Attwood's Total Preventive Maintenance programParticipate in product launches, including fixture and cell design consultationAlter, poke-yoke, and repair equipment/fixtures for manufacturing and distribution operations when neededReport regularly on the status of open projectsHelp Maintenance Facilities Technicians when neededMaintain inventory through the CMMS SystemWork cross-functionally between teamsAssist Maintenance Tech II and Tech III during downtime of productionJob Specifications: Knowledge, skills, and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required. GRCC's "Industrial Maintenance Certificate" or equivalent is preferred.Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required, including evenings and weekendsAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and/or move objects up to 50 lbs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills
