Mission
As a Radio Frequency Engineer of the Avionics Team, your main mission within the area will be to be responsible for all aspects of the Radio Frequency systems (Telemetry, Tracking and Commanding) and development, providing also support on the manufacturing, assembly and its integration in launch vehicles.
Responsibilities

Design and implement Telemetry, Tracking and Command systems for new launch vehicles and accommodate a variety of new mission payloads.
Lead TT&C engineering to develop CONOPS, system performance requirements, link budgets, etc.
Develop in-house solutions and/or provide technical management to vendors, oversee delivery, integration and testing of TT&C system.
Lead technical interaction with suppliers to design, build, test, and deliver various RF components.
Interact with other subsystem teams to ensure to meet the system level requirements.
Plan, perform, and review the RF tests and present as necessary.
Design and implement test benches and RF SCOE to support and execute RF-related test campaigns.
Lead failure investigation, troubleshooting and resolutions.
Ensure compatibility with various expected mission environments (thermal, vibration, radiation, lifetime, etc.).
Support launch and on-orbit operations.

Necessary Requirements

A minimum of 9 years with a Bachelor's degree, or 7 years with a Master's degree.
Proven track-record of working with aerospace hardware and/or software systems, starting from conceptual designs and tradeoffs through detailed design, development, manufacture, integration, test, deployment, and operations.
Familiarity with ECSS and CCSDS standards.
Strong knowledge of communications systems concepts (modulation schemes, coding, RF propagation, diversity techniques, multiplexing, filtering, signaling, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering, Math) or related scientific areas.
Preferred: Master's in STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering, Math) or related scientific areas.

Desired Requirements

Proficient at using programming tools/languages (e.g. Matlab, STK, C++, etc.) to solve complex engineering problems.
Experience with Spectrum Management and Regulatory agencies, interaction with FCC and ITU.
Experience with RF-related analyses and simulations (link budgets, coverage analysis, EMI/EMC, antenna radiation pattern simulations, etc.).
Familiarity with elements of space mission architectures extending beyond the launch vehicle platform - including ground segment, flight operations, mission CONOPS, user interfaces, etc.
Proficiency with MS Office applications.
Communicate in a clear and concise manner effectively across multiple levels.
Be team-minded and ready to work in a multi-functional and multi-cultural, fast-moving and complex/technical environment.
Flexible attitude and strong initiative.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results.
