N Position Type: Management We are looking for a payroll and HR expert to join our team on a contrato de sustitución starting as soon as possible.
As a member of the property Human Resources team and with a specialization in payroll (nómina), the successful candidate will manage all aspects of monthly payroll for the hotel supported by the Director of Human Resources and Director of Finance.
The successful candidate will act as a first point of contact for all things payroll related and will support the HR Director with all other aspects of Human Resources, leading a team of seven HR professionals.
Additionally, he/she focuses on delivering HR services that meet or exceed the needs of employees and enable business success, as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and operating procedures.
CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the human resources, management operations, or related professional area.
OR Qualification in Relaciones Laborales and/or nómina (payroll).
Relevant experience in payroll and/or finance, ideally in a hotel environment.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Managing the monthly and annual payroll processes and related activities.
Managing the relationship with our external payroll partners.
Supporting the HR Director and acting as a driver of the HR strategy for the hotel.
Providing subject matter expertise to property managers regarding all HR matters.
Leading all activities that support internal audits.
Ensuring that the department has the available resources on hand to administer employee matters.
Supporting a departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training.
Acting as a subject matter expert regarding our internal development tools.
Ensuring coordination and facilitation of new hire orientation program to generate a positive first impression for employees.
Assisting in maintaining effective employee communication channels in the property.
Reviewing progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency.
Utilizing an "open door" policy to acknowledge employee problems or concerns in a timely manner.
Ensuring employee issues are referred to the Department Manager for resolution.
Partnering with Loss Prevention to conduct employee accident investigations, as necessary.
