Candidates will hold a relevant degree and a UK approved PGCE or international equivalent.Functions1.Planning, Teaching and Class Management
- To model and deliver outstanding practice in own subject area.
- To have high expectations of all students based on relevant data.
- To support, challenge and stretch students as appropriate.
- To teach using a variety of delivery methods which will stimulate learning, meeting the demands of the syllabus and the needs of the students.
- To provide or contribute to oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual or groups of students.
- To maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour and standards of work.
- To assess students' work in line with school policies and procedures referring to student performance targets.2. Monitoring and evaluating
- To use data, both externally and internally produced, to assess student performance and to develop appropriate courses of action.
- To review methods of teaching on a regular.
- To produce annual reports and mid-term grades for all students taught.3
