Previous experience in university counseling, particularly with sports recruitment and NCAA compliance. Strong knowledge of the American educational system, including university admissions processes and standardized testing requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and university representatives. Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the diverse needs of students and families. Proficiency in educational platforms and tools such as the Common Application, Studielink, and others. Willingness to travel for university fairs, conferences, and tours, as required. Commitment to providing inclusive and equitable support to all students, regardless of background or ability. Support and advice on finding accommodation. We will provide relocation assistance by paying travel costs and in addition, we will also offer paid accommodation for the 1st month. Administrative support with legal documentation such as paperwork related to the VISA process and becoming a resident in Spain, registering with a doctor, opening a bank account, etc. In terms of health insurance, in Spain everyone is covered by social security which is considered one of the best in the world. Holidays are in line with other international schools in Spain and then adapted to the local bank holidays. The salaries at school all follow the Spanish pay scales. The pay increases when there is an increase announced across Spain. Job Description: Rafa Nadal School is seeking a dedicated and experienced University School Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in guiding our high school students through the college application process, with a particular focus on sports recruitment, especially for tennis elite athletes.
