In this role, you will have a major impact on market success by ensuring product claims and physicochemical stability.
Your work will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our products, directly influencing consumer satisfaction and trust.WHAT'S THERE FOR YOUThe main competencies that you will develop: Analytical: Lead analytical testing of samples submitted for routine testing.
Conduct analytical assessment of raw materials.
Accurately record and authorize results of analysis within LIMS to track and report product performance.
Explore technologies, methodologies, and analytical method development to deliver the agreed program on time and on budget.
Laboratory Best Practices: Set up and keep updated the documentation of R&D equipment, and contribute to their maintenance and calibration.
Ensure all laboratory work is carried out in accordance with GLP to support laboratory accreditation and in line with COSHH and H&S procedures.
Cross Functional: Assist and support the delivery of new products, claims, and technology development programs that contribute to the growth requirements of the business using physicochemical analysis.
Support R&D scientists on their projects, mainly identifying opportunities for new ingredients.
Support other Technical Service group functions as required.
WHAT I NEED TO SUCCED ON THE ROLE Background: A degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, or a related subject with a strong chemistry component.
Demonstrated experience in Analytical Chemistry, with 3-5 years of hands-on experience.
Mastery in applied chromatography or other chemistry-related techniques.
Competencies: Demonstrates the Founders Attributes and Suntory Leadership Spirit (SLS).
Methodical and able to accurately report results.
Good communication skills, including presentation skills.
Strong knowledge of analytical methods, including GC, GC/MS, HPLC, among other analysis technologies.
Good knowledge of GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
Fluency in English; knowledge of French and Spanish is an advantage.
