Software Development Engineer II, MENA Marketing TechAmazon Middle East and North Africa team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who is passionate about building great products for our Customers & Sellers. The SDE-II will be based in Amman, JOR and must have software engineering experience involving designing, architecting, and solving complex problems.Key job responsibilitiesDesign, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables.Write high-quality distributed system software.Work in an agile, startup-like development environment, where you are always working on the most important stuff.About the teamTeam's vision is to make Amazon a go-to place for our customers in MENA for their daily purchase needs from the vast selection we offer through marketing initiatives and value perception. Our projects help with new customer acquisition, retention, and drive engagement through innovative marketing approaches. We help MENA customers throughout their lifecycle from new to settled customer state. We work with WW-technology teams on a diverse set of technology stacks on interesting and innovative projects and invent on behalf of our customers in MENA.Minimum Qualifications3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.Experience programming with at least one software programming language.3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.Knowledge of cloud infrastructure - Amazon Web Services.
