The Nature & Agriculture team Our Nature & Agriculture team's mission is to enhance the readiness of sustainable land and sea management practices that deliver triple-win solutions for nature, society, and the economy.
We achieve this by establishing and managing cross-sectoral impact alliances and consortia, developing models and tools, conducting strategic foresight studies, and offering other knowledge-based consulting, alongside effective communications.
Our goal is to ensure that the pilots needed for tomorrow are ready today.
The position We are seeking an Innovation Consultant to join our Nature & Agriculture team .
You will be working at our Barcelona headquarters, taking responsibility for the execution and management of innovation consultancy assignments with partners across Europe.
You will be working in 2-4 small teams serving several clients in parallel, so strong project management skills are a must-have.
The main tasks you will work on include: Conceptualisation and implementation of European innovation initiatives, coordinating clients, leading project management and producing high-value analysis, advice, and deliverables for clients and partners.
Assessment of the economic, environmental, and societal impact of terrestrial and marine regeneration projects, applying quantitative and qualitative methods for data collection and analysis, applying them to financing models and defining future scenarios and solutions.
Facilitation of multi-stakeholder workshops aimed at piloting innovations on the ground or kick-starting new collaborations, be it for the sustainable management of our agricultural landscapes or restoration of our marine ecosystems.
Business modelling and definition of exploitation strategies to support the implementation of new solutions and services.
Productisation of in-house developed tools and services.
The Nature & Agriculture team is looking to build nature-related products and is looking for a consultant with an interest in becoming a driven product/service owner.
The candidates we are seeking We seek fast-learning candidates who have an interest in developing new and innovative solutions for the sustainable management of our land and seascapes.
Background and profile: We seek problem-solving, interdisciplinary minds that combine knowledge in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Ecology, or Agricultural Sciences with Business, Innovation, International Relations, Policy, or similar fields.
A combination of BSc and MSc is required.
Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in these areas and/or EU project management .
Experience in strategy consulting or innovation positions would be a significant advantage.
Languages: proficiency in English , both written and oral, is essential (almost all our assignments are performed in English).
Fluency in Spanish, Dutch, or other EU languages would be a strong plus.
Soft skills: we expect a great deal of autonomy and proactivity , being able to communicate professionally with colleagues, partners, and clients, and managing and leading discussions and public presentations.
Hard skills: experience in the following will be a plus: data analytics, statistics, natural capital accounting, business analytics, or GIS.
