We are looking for a Chief Accountant/Senior Accountant to be the focal point for finance & accounting activities in Spain.
Your Responsibilities:- Lead Month-End Close (MEC) activities and prepare local Spanish statements.
- Manage relationships with outsource Tax service providers.
- Oversee annual closing process and financial audit.
- Supervise a small accounting team.
- Reconcile General Ledger (GL), subsidiary ledger, and intercompany settlements to ensure accurate financial records and compliance.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices, including automation solutions and new tools/systems to enhance efficiency of external reporting.
- Demonstrate deep technical accounting knowledge of Spanish GAAP.
- Hold a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Chief Accountant, Senior Accountant or Independent Accountant.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Show proven ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Be fluent in English.
- Holding experience with MS Excel and MS Dynamics is an advantage.
