Are you an engineering director or senior manager with a background in cloud technologies looking for a new role in a high growth scaling San Sebastian based team?
At European Tech Recruit, we are working alongside a high growth startup, helping them to bring on board an engineering director. The team is developing a compute platform for high performance computing with software utilizing real-time telemetry and intelligent algorithms to optimize performance, power efficiency, and scalability dynamically for HPC and AI workloads.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing team.
- Communicate effectively with leadership.
- Report directly to the CTO.
- Develop a scalable DevOps and MLOps infrastructure.
- Support our transition to a SaaS product offering.
- Drive our business model, which is powered by AWS and Azure.
- Oversee large-scale computational operations for a company of 100+ engineers.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering and/or DevOps.
- 2+ years of experience leading DevOps and/or platform teams in a tech-driven organization.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage urgent needs while staying focused on long-term goals.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts without jargon.
- Solid knowledge of DevOps practices and agile methodologies.
- Experience deploying applications to Kubernetes.
- Extensive experience with AWS and Azure.
- Proven ability to use automation tools (e.g., Terraform) for deployment, scaling, monitoring, and management.
