Ahlstrom seeks a seasoned professional with expertise in Treasury Management Systems (TMS) to drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize global processes and system landscapes, and enhance operational efficiency across our Treasury function.

About the Role

We are looking for a leader to head our Group Treasury team in Spain, driving the implementation, integration, and optimization of Treasury Management Systems.

Responsibilities
  • Select, implement, and maintain Treasury Management Systems to support global operations.
  • Align requirements and processes with finance, IT, and TMS providers to ensure seamless integration.
  • Develop RFPs and negotiate contracts with TMS providers to secure optimal solutions.
  • Integrate TMS with SAP/ERP and other systems for payments, bank account statements, and general ledger bookings to streamline financial processes.
  • Establish and administer system connections between satellite systems, TMS, and ERPs to enable real-time data exchange.
  • Provide training and support to global subsidiaries to ensure they effectively utilize TMS capabilities.
  • Serve as the in-house expert on system-related processes and activities, providing guidance and recommendations to stakeholders.
Strategic Planning and Optimization
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to optimize the system landscape for Treasury, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead all Treasury-related IT projects to deliver timely and within budget.
  • Represent Treasury in cross-functional projects, including TMS integration with ERP systems, to drive business value.
Policy and Process Development
  • Design and implement Treasury policies, directives, and processes that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Support Treasury Activities
  • Collaborate with the Treasury team to manage cash, corporate finance, funding, factoring, liquidity planning, financial risk management, reporting, and other Treasury functions to minimize financial risks and maximize returns.
  • Maintain and implement interfaces between various ERP, TMS, and other satellite systems to ensure accurate and timely data exchange.
Guidance and Compliance
  • Provide guidance and support to group subsidiaries and other headquarters functions to ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, directives, and procedures.
  • Ensure that all Treasury activities are conducted in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in TMS/ERP implementation, integration, rollout, and maintenance, preferably with TMS.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in international corporations, system providers, consultancy (Big 4 preferred), or banks, with a focus on corporate treasury.
  • Strong project management skills, with certification a plus.
  • An independent and hands-on individual with a strong desire to grow and take ownership of critical tasks.
  • Fluent English language skills, with additional languages an asset.
  • A self-starter who can challenge the status quo and drive business outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Location and Travel

Internationally / Helsinki/Espoo, Finland, with flexible hybrid/home-based options.

Required travel to Finland and global offices, with a focus on remote work arrangements.
