Role DescriptionWe are seeking a Procurement Engineer to join our team in Barcelona, working closely with the global Procurement team. This role will be responsible for driving GD relevant ESG strategies and activities with our suppliers, supporting strategic purchasing with technical expertise, trends, technology, and industry analyses in discussions and negotiations.
Main Responsibilities- Drive GD relevant ESG strategies and activities with our suppliers, e.g., PCF calculations.
- Support strategic purchasing with technical expertise, trends, technology, and industry analyses in discussions and negotiations.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of product strategies and roadmaps with our suppliers.
- Lead process ownership for change notifications from our suppliers (Product Change Notification/Product Change Information).
- Manage sourcing of sample materials in close cooperation with other functional departments.
- Act as technical interface in Procurement for suppliers, R&D, Product Management, and Quality.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A technical degree (physics, electrical engineering or similar) or comparable training, ideally with a focus on semiconductors.
- Relevant experience in a technical environment and confidence in using tools.
- Demonstrated strong analytical judgment and ability to solve complex issues in global and cross-functional teams.
- Availability to travel approximately once per quarter.
- Fluent English language skills.
