Position Summary The National Sales Manager is a field-based position leading the Spanish sales team of Key Account Managers. The position has overall responsibility for:Sales performance, strategic implementation and operational management of all sales activitiesThe successful achievement of sales targets, management of related activities in sales, and collaboration with all other relevant stakeholders and support functionsEnsure appropriate market position of the Amicus product portfolioBuilding and maintaining relationships with national Key Opinion Leaders, payors and relevant stakeholdersRegional and hospital market access, mainly with Hospital Pharmacists Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Lead, manage and develop the Sales field team including: · Recruitment · Training · Coaching · Performance management / SFE / CRM · Monitoring and optimization of Sales excellence · Implementation of Spanish Sales strategy · Development of territory strategy/tactics in accordance with Amicus strategy · Ensure that all communication channels are used by Salesforce. 2. Successful achievement of Sales targets 3. Ensure operational effectiveness of Sales team (CRM, customer engagement, key account plans) – conducting regular reviews 4. Support market access on key accounts 5. Continuous tracking and analysis of national and regional Sales development, market share and competitor performance 6. Planning, tracking and controlling of national and territory Sales budgets/forecasts 7. Monitor and planning of Sales projects and regional events 8. Responsible for developing the incentive plan for KAM territories and align with CD 9. Ensure a high level of product, therapeutic area and competitor knowledge of the Sales team 10. Organize regional and national Sales team meetings 11. Present Sales performance at national meetings Requirements Educational RequirementsDegree qualified in Healthcare/Life Sciences (or equivalent)Must achieve and maintain defined industry educational and qualification requirements within the country of employment in order to be able to perform their role Professional Work Experience RequirementsMinimum of 5 years’ experience and a track record of success in a Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology sales positionSolid experience in working with rare diseases or specialty care products and demonstrates a good understanding of the science behind the productExperience in leading senior Sales teamsExperience in leading Market Access activities at regional and hospital level Experience and SkillsComprehensive understanding of the local rules and regulations of the pharma market in the country of responsibilityProven ability to think strategically and have demonstrated focus on delivering action and of programsHands-on mentality, autonomous working style, self-starterUnderstands the requirements, and demonstrates the capability, of working in a start-up environment where the individual’s input has a meaningful impactKey behaviors will include:Dealing with Ambiguity and ChangeDelivery FocusDemonstrating Emotional IntelligenceEffective Decision MakingCommunicating with Impact & Influence Other skills/AttributesDemonstrated alignment with Amicus Mission Focus BehaviorsCollaborative leadership stylePassion for rare disease and patient focused Location: This position will be field-based TravelRegular presence in the field/congresses/regional events will be required for the role We respect and celebrate the diversity of our people, their backgrounds and experiences and provide equal opportunity for all.
